Topics Covered

Topics of the papers include but are not limited to:

  • Image de-hazing (de-fogging), image de-raining and image de-snowing

  • Shadow removal, glare removal and reflection removal

  • Low-light image enhancement and HDR imaging

  • Style transfer and image translation across weather conditions and times of day

  • High-level vision tasks in bad weather and at nighttime

  • Domain adaptation from good weather and illumination conditions to adverse conditions

  • Learning with synthetic data for adverse weather/illumination conditions

  • Robust Vision algorithms under different illumination conditions, times of day, weather, and seasons

  • Datasets and new evaluation methods for bad weather and adverse lighting conditions

  • Sensor Fusion (RGB Camera, Lidar, Radar, NIR Camera, Events Camera, etc.) to handle adverse conditions

  • Vision algorithms in the wild

Submission Guidelines

  • We solicit normal papers and extended abstracts on the aforementioned topics

  • Submitted manuscript should follow the CVPR 2020 paper template

  • Page limit: normal paper shouldn’t exceed 8 pages and extended abstracts shouldn’t exceed 2 pages; all excluding references.

  • Paper submission must contain substantial original contents not submitted to any other conference, workshop or journal; extended abstracts are comprehensive summaries of ongoing work or published work.

  • The accepted papers will be published in the CVPR 2020 proceedings (online/app, IEEE Xplore, and CVF open access). The extended abstracts can be released at the workshop’s web page if the authors wish.

  • Papers will be peer reviewed under double-blind policy, and need be submitted online through the CMT submission system at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/VAS2020.
